Tansley Electrical completed a solar power system and electrical work on the Mintaro Hut on the Milford Track, in Fiordland National Park, one of New Zealand’s Great Walks.
Tansley Electrical installed a solar power system that powers the lighting and fire alarm systems, with the hut having a state-of-the-art fire alarm system. The main Mintaro Hut has 40 bunk beds in a communal sleeping area and its own super system, while the warden’s quarters has a separate solar system to power their electricity and radio control system.
The Southland branch of Tansley Electrical has also installed solar power at Dumpling Hut, also located in Fiordland National Park on the Milford Track.
